Summary:
One of my first professional projects involved creating a unified visual identity for Diedrich Walsh Marketing Group and IW Research. Although the two companies had partnered for years, they needed a cohesive brand presence that still preserved each firm’s individuality. I developed a symbol we named the “Wheel of Change.” In this system, IW Research occupies the initial segment of the wheel, representing the starting point of the research and marketing process. Diedrich RPM completes the circle, symbolizing the final stage of bringing a client’s campaign to market.
By redefining and aligning both brands around a shared concept, we strengthened their collective visibility, elevated market perception, and positioned the partnership as a comprehensive end to end solution for clients.
In 2024, as the company’s focus evolved into tourism marketing for marine vessels, the wheel naturally transitioned into a propeller. While I would love to claim credit for that evolution, I simply appreciate seeing how the original idea remained timeless enough to take on new meaning.
